Dr. Rebecca Valdes graduated from Florida International University in Miami, Florida in December 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education K-6 and graduated in December 2004 with a Master’s Degree in Reading Education K-12. In addition to my subject area certifications, I am ESOL and Gifted Endorsed and possess a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership. I had the honor of being a teacher for eight amazing years before I was asked to step out of the classroom in 2011 for more administrative duties related to curriculum and daily school operations. It was bitter, sweet for me to step away from the classroom since the connection with the students was my passion. Fortunately, since I stepped out of the classroom setting, I have had the opportunity to have more of a school-wide impact on students, teachers, parents, and for the community I serve.
