Principal's Corner

Good day Families of Waterstone,

I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful long weekend.

As we begin the third week of school, I would like to thank all the parents in our arrival and dismissal lines that continue to be patient, kind and always willing to do the right thing, even it delays picking up your child by a couple of minutes.  Traffic is the most daunting part of the opening of the school year as parents and students learn the process of arriving and dismissing daily.  Rain this time of year can always be an issue, I appreciate the extended patience as we dismiss your child in the safest and driest process possible.  We also appreciate your smiles, waves, thumbs up and kind words.  Please encourage my staff that are going above and beyond in less than perfect weather conditions to accommodate you and your child. Not one of them is responsible for the traffic.

Please note your child’s dismissal time and earliest arrival time.  Early arrivals will be asked to return at the designated time.  Arriving early and parking in the south bound land from Waterstone only causes traffic issues and I ask you not to park here unless you live in the Waterstone community.  Beginning Wednesday, 9-8-21 I will only move enough traffic to unplug the roundabout.  Drivers are cutting through the subdivision thinking this is a faster route into the parking lot of the school, it only causes traffic issues.

Grade Level Earliest Line-up Time Dismissal Begins
 Kindergarten  2:20 PM  2:30 PM
 1st & 2nd   2:50 PM 3:00 PM

- Yours in education,
Mrs. Baggs
